Just when you thought it was safe to get back on the football field look whose back! Yes that’s right the Mighty Orange County Makos are back and ready to create a feeding frenzy on opponents in 2008. The Makos staff is currently hard at work preparing for the 2008 season. We are giving ourselves an entire year to build this program from the ground up. The Makos will operate once again out of Orange County, California. The Makos are one of the most feared teams in the past and from 2000 to 2003 the Makos compiled a 51-13-2 record that included a 2001 victory over the Inglewood Blackhawk’s for the California Football Association League Championship along with a 2003 victory over the Undefeated Wasatch Wildcats in the Utah/California Classic. The Makos crushed the defending champion 46-20 in Utah. The Makos were also named the Co-MLFN Challenge Bowl Champion along with the Capital City Fury after their classic 7-7 tie in Sacramento in 2002. Going into the 2002 season the Orange County Makos were rated the #1 team in the entire nation by American Football News. When you look at several football teams today many of them have former Orange County Makos on their roster. The Makos will now prepare for the 2008 season. We have a lot of work to do between building our staff and recruiting players but the buzz is in the air and the Makos are back!!
