Where are they now?
So. Cal Wolverines
Orange County Makos
Los Angeles Gunslingers
After observing the 2007 football season as a spectator for the first time in 15 years. I have to say the desire to run a team or league at this level is just not in me anymore. I was very disappointed in the actions of several players, coaches and owners and realized I don’t want to be a part of this game at this level anymore.
The CFA Spring League would have been a great way for players to get some extra playing time and provide fans a little more football during the off season.
But with my new outside business opportunities I am unable to put together all the things necessary to put out the type of product that would be fair for the fans.
Maybe the CFA Spring League will become a reality one day but it will not be taking the field this spring.
We anticipated more teams wanting to become part of it but that was not the case.
To the fans and players hoping for a Spring League this season we apologize but until I feel that passion for the game again and several things change I will remain retired from the game that I have loved for so many years.
I have several friends that I have made over the past 15 years and will remain friends with them but as for me ever putting anymore time or money into this level ever again well that is over for me.

Thank you to everyone and good luck in the future!
AJ Mindiola

Get ready for Professional Spring Football Action!

From the months of March to June what is there really to do? I guess if you love spring baseball or hockey then you’re not interested in football right? The California Football Association is bringing spring football to Southern California. The CFA will have between 6 to 9 teams for their inaugural spring league and have created an alliance with the top two Northern California spring leagues the GCFL and the CVFL. They have also created a bowl tournament with the top league from Mexico the OMFA.
That is a total of 60 teams.
All CFA games will be played at a local college turf stadium and your investment into the league will pay for all your home games and referees fee’s. just think about it no more running around trying to secure a field for the year the league has done all the hard work for you. And each week watch as the crowds grow bigger and bigger from local media, word of mouth and simply because the games are at the same location each week.
Also we have a personal company that will take care of all your uniform and merchandise needs.
The CFA will make each week a fan friendly event for all.
Featuring

Food Vendors
DJ’s
Live concerts during break
Prize giveaways
Purchase team merchandise
Photo with players (after games)

All this for one low price and a safe and fun atmosphere.
If you are interested in getting involved with the California Football Association for the 2008 season contact our league office at info@springfootball.org
We are currently looking for volunteers to help organize our events.
We are also looking for local entertainment so if you have a band or are a DJ and would like to get some great exposure at a CFA Event let us know.
There is nothing better then getting involved with a great business plan on the ground floor!

CFA partners up with Northen California

Update: In order to align ourselves with the Northern California Spring leagues the season will run from March to June 2008.

The California Football Association will return but this time as a spring football league. With all of the problems that the fall season provides for teams this is the new direction of football in California. Every league in the west coast play spring football so now Southern California has joined them for the 2008 season. The CFA will be holding a league meeting soon and will be accepting teams for the 2008 spring league. We are looking at having a six to eight team league. The benefit of playing in the CFA will be all games will be played at two local college fields. Each week there will be a triple header at each stadium. This will take care of the stadium problem many teams have had this season. Each team will be required to spilt the cost with the other five or seven teams. Each game the two teams will split the cost of the referees fee.
This will keep the cost low for all teams involved and help the league build extra funding to benefits all teams involved such as all-star games and championship team travel.
The season will run from April to June. and will include an all-star game against another spring league.
If your team is interested in becoming part of the California Football Association Spring Football League email our league office at  info@springfootball.org
